Flint Hills Resources and Koch Pipeline Company, L.P. today contributed a total of $10,000 to three organizations that provide emergency response services in San Patricio County.

“We are happy to be able to help these groups that aid so many in our communities,” said Ronnie Lee, terminal manager for Flint Hills Resources. “We recognize the critical services that the fire departments in Ingleside and Ingleside-on-the-Bay provide, as well as the coordination efforts offered by the Coastal Plains Local Emergency Planning Committee.”

The checks were presented today in Ingleside. Lee was joined by Phil Gaarder, vice president and manufacturing manager for Flint Hills Resources in Corpus Christi, and Larry Van Horn, vice president of Koch Pipeline Company.

“Our organization is committed to helping out in the communities in which we have a presence,” Van Horn said. “We are completing a construction project in Ingleside now, and have long had assets within this county. We support the efforts of the fire departments and the LEPC.”

Flint Hills Resources and Koch Pipeline Company are affiliates. The companies provided $2,500 to the Ingleside-on-the-Bay Volunteer Fire Department and to the Ingleside Volunteer Fire Department. The companies contributed $5,000 to the LEPC.

JoAnn Ehmann, Ingleside-on-the-Bay Volunteer Fire Department representative, Bob Blaschke, chairman of the LEPC, and R. J. Thomas, Ingleside Volunteer Fire Department chief, were on hand to accept the donations.
