Koch Pipeline Company Employees Set Safety Record

Employees of Koch Pipeline Company, L.P. have completed 8 million work hours, more than 11 years, without a lost-time incident, setting a company safety record. The milestone was reached in December.

“I am extremely proud of each and every employee for their achievements for working safely while the company is undergoing significant growth,” said Bob O’Hair, KPL executive vice president. Safe operations mean safe communities, and this milestone is a great example of our strong safety culture.”

Incident prevention, predictable execution and competitive results are priorities for the company. Focusing on those priorities allowed KPL to complete numerous projects in 2011 and 2012 while operating with its best environmental performance ever. The company received a 2012 Koch Industries EH&S Excellence Award for its accomplishments.

Koch Pipeline Company earned the API Distinguished Safety and Environmental Performance Award for large pipeline operators in 2011 and 2012. This award reflects the company's ability to not only work safely and reduce releases, but also to improve processes, systems and opportunities to further drive operational improvements.

Koch Pipeline’s 200-plus employees work in six states and operate more than 4,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil, refined petroleum products, ethanol, natural gas liquids and chemicals. Currently, the company has 50 jobs open in a variety of roles.
