Molex Receives John Deere Supplier Innovation Award

Molex Receives John Deere Supplier Innovation Award

March 31, 2015

Molex Incorporated, a global manufacturer of complete interconnect solutions, has been selected for the first time as a recipient of a John Deere supplier innovation award for 2014. John Deere presented the award to Molex representatives at a formal ceremony hosted in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Award selections are based on four factors – creativity, feasibility, collaboration, and bottom-line impact. John Deere created the supplier innovation awards in 2010 to promote innovation in the company’s supply base and recognize suppliers who think creatively.

“Molex is delighted to receive a prestigious John Deere award that recognizes the strength of our partnership and a shared commitment to innovation,” said Greg LaMirand, global business development manager, Molex. “As a John Deere Achieving Excellence supplier, we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality solutions for customers in agricultural and commercial industries.”

In 2012, Molex became a supplier in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The John Deere supplier innovation awards are presented to a select group of suppliers who have demonstrated innovation in a product or service they provide to John Deere. The 2014 innovation award recognized Molex efforts to design and develop a high-voltage/current interconnect system with enhanced reliability and durability that resulted in an ultrasonically welded cable attachment process. The Molex innovation increased sustainability and significantly lowered disruption to the operational lifecycle of the end product.
