Panel in Baton Rouge pushes for reform of nation’s criminal justice system

The Baton Rouge (LA) Advocate (7/23) reports that a “panel of public figures called for a total overhaul of the criminal justice system” at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. “Speakers included journalist Lauren Victoria Burke, Koch Industries Vice President Mark Holden, criminal defense lawyer Norman Reimer and Benjamin F. Chavis Jr., president of the National Publishers Association.”
