Koch Fertilizer Products To Invest In Rouen

January 14, 2013

To support the launch of its first enhanced efficiency fertilizer (EEF), Nexen™ fertilizer, Koch Fertilizer Products SAS, a subsidiary of Koch Fertilizer, LLC, has engaged Senalia to build and operate the new storage and handling facility dedicated to production of this product in the port of Rouen.

The new storage facility is expected to commence operations during the first quarter of 2013 for Nexen™ fertilizer as well as other dry fertilizer products distributed by Koch Fertilizer Products.

“The French fertilizer market continues to evolve and we bring a competitive offer with Nexen™ fertilizer. This solution has been introduced to answer the grower needs”, said Eric Pietravalle, General Manager with Koch Fertilizer Products. “Thanks to this investment in the port of Rouen, we will offer a reliable supply position to France’s large agriculture market. This location will be used to produce, store and organize the shipment of Nexen™ fertilizer. In addition, it will be used for other non-classified fertilizer products that won’t suffer from any particular restrictions in terms of storage, handling or transportation. We want to offer new innovative fertilizer product alternatives to our customer base. We also want to be flexible and innovative to serve that market, and will accomplish this with the help of Sénalia, the region’s largest grain handling company in the port of Rouen.”

Koch Fertilizer, LLC, and its subsidiaries have the global capability capacity to market and distribute more than 12 million tons of fertilizer products annually.
